If $\omega \in \mathcal A^k(M)$ is a $k$-form, and $X, X_1, X_2, \dots, X_k$ vectors, what is the meaning of $$X \omega (X_1, X_2, \dots, X_k)$$ Isn't $\omega (X_1, X_2, \dots, X_k)$ just a number? How exactly does $X$ act on it?
